Amendment 11
The eleventh amendment protects states from lawsuits. So states suing other states is not allowed.
Amendment 12
Elections, presidents, vice presidents are found in this amendment. This amendment is about the years of the service for the president and vice president.
Amendment 13
Slavery is forbidden and so is an over powered government. Ever since the thirteenth amendment was created slavery is illegal and banned from this country. Also the government is limited, so it does not become over powered.
Amendment 14
Everyone gets equal protection under any state in this country. Also everyone has the right of freedom, property, and happiness.
Amendment 15
No matter what race anyone is this amendment allows almost everyone to vote. Not including gender, any race is allowed to participate in elections.
Amendment 16
This amendment is about government and taxes. The government is allowed to collect tax and income it to the citizens.
Amendment 17
In the seventeenth amendment the role of Senate is written. This amendment includes what the Senate does, how a Senate is elected and so on.
Amendment 18
This amendment was repealed after all the problems it caused in the US. The eighteenth amendment was supposed to banned alcohol. However it did not work since people started bootlegging it.
Amendment 19
Women now have rights because of this amendment. Due to continious protest women did the nineteenth amendment was created to give women the opportunity to eductation, jobs, and vote.
Amendment 20
The US Senators have to end their term of service. This amendment is about the when federal officials end their terms of service.
Amendment 21
The eighteenth amendment was repealed by this amendment. This amendment allows the shipping of alcohol.
Amendment 22
In the twenty-secondth amendment no one can run or be elected more than twice. Once a president, vice president, or so on has already been elected twice there will be a new person to replace them.
Amendment 23
An Electoral College is a system used for voting. Each state has an electoral vote which depends on the popular vote. If two candidates were debating on one state, the candidate with the higher popular vote would win that state and receive its electoral votes.
Amendment 24
Voting is now free thanks to this amendment. Before this amendment was created there was a tax called the poll tax in which you had to pay before you could vote.
Amendment 25
When the president passes away or resigns the House of Legislatures would decide who would take over that role. It could be the vice president, another office, or a citizen.
Amendment 26
Instead of being twenty-one or over to vote, this amendment allows adults at the age of eighteen or over to be able to participate in an election. Anyone who is under the age of eighteen is not allowed to vote.
Amendment 27
Congress can vote however they are not allowed to vote to raise their pay. Congress is allowed to vote to raise congressional pay, but that would only affect the next congress.
